Hi i have this is issue. I recently made a new pc and i have a problem from the start. When i run the system and getting into windows the pc will stuck making some noise from speaker and then restarts witout blue screen appearance even if i have check not to automatic restart. The problem occurs at random times but mostly when i go to open a game the system always restarts. I tested all the parts on another computer and everything worked perfect. Please help me thanks in advance. All the components are at their normal clocks nothing overclocked.

So when i put all the new stuff together i have that restart problem.also i can ensure you that the the cpu is running at 19C and at 39w when i am just in windows.so something else is the problem not the cpu. Ok your not getting it so I will try to be more Clear! Yes it will work while IDLE as it pulls very little power which is within the boards power capability to deliver to the processor!

(it may be cutting out at load as it could far surpasses that upper limit (125W AMD FX CPU's can pull upto 140W at load) and a game will cause the CPU to ramp up to full power state) and as it will trigger a violent response to prevent the board Burning the VRMS its a good possibility that its the cause (Either a VRM thermal shutdown that it sounds like so it just cuts off the power or a throttling of clocks)! It may be a bad PSU as something is causing a cut out (try the other ones power supply) and see if another power unit stops it to rule it out? Also do you know what BIOS versions both board have?

Hi again and sorry for continuing this thread, but i havent managed to solve the problem yet.as i have found from many part changes i understood that the problem is the R9 290 graphic card. I had many black screen with this card even when i was just on desktop. On event viewer it was saying power kernel error so i changed the psu from 630w to 860w platinum and still same problem.

The R9 290 card in the benchmarks had 0 errors. In other computers the card runs fine without black screens but in the MSI 760GMA-P34 i take the black screens. With the HD5670 on the MSI 760GMA-P34 i had no problems but with the R9 290 the black screens start again and again.

Please help.im so desperate that i cant make my pc to run.also i RMAed the R9 290 and the company found no problem as i said.i also tested all parts and everything works fine.So the problem is the MSI 760GMA-P34 and the R9 290. They told me that there is no bios update for my vga model and that if the card works on another system it should work to any system.

So im just lost i dont know what else to do. They told to contact the manufacturer of the Motherboard and ask for a bios. The thing is that the MSI 760GMA-P34 (FX) works perfect with an older card but with the R9 290 black screens again and again.
